Annual Youth Symposium
The Sigma Youth Symposium is designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that negatively impact our youth: drugs, teen violence, abuse, low self-esteem, suicide, teen pregnancy, etc.
Operation Big Bookbag
This program provides access, tools and mentorship for school age children. Access is provided through educational tutoring, computers, flashcards, and learning games. Tools are often book bags, pencils, pen, paper, and folders.
Swim 1922
Partnering with USA Swim, this program provides swim clinics in various cities, distribute swim safety materials, and partner with local agencies to help provide Swim Lessons.
Project Cradle Care
This program provides prenatal education, care, and resources program to improve pregnancy outcomes in high-risk communities.
Women's Wellness Initiative
This program seeks to provide relevant information and education on issues such as mental health, domestic and intimate partner abuse, stress management, and much more in the hopes of providing a long term commitment to wellness and well-being.
Hattie McDaniel Cancer Awareness Program
This program is to provide education and support of early detection of breast, prostate, ovarian, colon and other cancers as well as research for prevention of the cancers.
Project Reassurance
This is the umbrella for the Youth Symposium and Operation Big Bookbag programs. The focus is on prevention of teen pregnancy, personal decision making, character building, and making good health education choices.
Healthy Heart Living
This program supports the American Heart Association’s GO Red for Women Movement and also help raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.
HIV/AIDs Awareness Program

Soles for Little Souls
Soles for Little Souls is a nation-wide shoe collection drive that distributes new or gently used shoes to children and homeless shelters.
Mwanamugimu Essay Contest
The Mwanamugimu Essay contest focuses on providing an opportunity for students to increase their knowledge of the historical and contemporary development of Africa.
Project Wee Savers
This project is designed to develop an awareness of various banking facilities and their available services. The goal is to allow participants to become knowledgeable of the real life skills of saving and buying stocks and bonds, ranging from ages 6 to 18 years.
